Geoffroy and Loïc pick up their two sidecars in Dar Es Salam, Tanzania. They set out on an encounter with the most ancient ways of life: the hunter-gatherers and the fishermen who live from what Nature provides them day-by-day. Today this form of organisation has become difficult with the demographic explosion that is reducing virgin spaces and exhausting the natural resources that were previously available. This precarious life is a choice for freedom because in the city, without education and work, they would be condemned to begging. Further to the North, on the limits of the Serengeti and Lake Natron, our two explorers take a close look at nomadism. What is it that drives human beings to migrate and what is preventing them from continuing to do so today? The search for water, food and a bounteous environment is the principal aim behind this ancestral migration. Population growth and over-grazing are what are currently putting the brake on it. In a Maasai Boma, where they are invited to spend the night, while lions prowl around, they consider the necessary changes that this legendary people must bring about in order to survive. But what will become of their community traditions based on sharing and initiation rites where Nature lays down the law?
