Gautier Capuçon, one of the most admired cellists of his generation, appreciated for his depth and sensitivity, performs Haydn’s joyful and melodic Cello Concerto, conducted by Vasily Petrenko. The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra continues with the music of Tveitt, as resonant of Norway as is Grieg, but with a very different technique of tone and orchestration. The concert ends with a performance of Tchaikovsky’s famous First Symphony.
