Set in the majestic surroundings of the Institut de France in Paris, the film offers a poetic and physical encounter between musical and choreographic movement. Anne Nguyen draws inspiration from the compositions performed by Constance Luzzati to create a dance performance in which the bodies literally resonate with the strings.
The harp, often associated with elegance and intimacy, becomes the vibrant heart of a choreographic landscape. The mechanical precision of the fingers on the strings and the tension of the musical gestures are echoed in a physical, stylized dance that is sometimes abstract, sometimes narrative.
The choice of Baroque pieces is not insignificant: they are rich in contrasts, textures and rhythms — living material that naturally calls for movement.
The dancing bodies do not illustrate the music, but reveal its lines of force, hidden motifs and emotional syncopations. Anne Nguyen draws on a hybrid vocabulary, combining hip-hop, minimalist dance and geometric writing.
