With a risky operation on a rabbit, we dive straight into the daily life of a veterinary clinic at Manages, near Brussels. For the twelve vets in the team the rhythm of the day’s work is set by consultations and emergency operations on both ordinary and exotic animals. For a day and an overnight stay we follow ever step of an examination (description of symptoms by the owner, X-rays, medical imagery, analyses). A rabbit needs a dental check, a second one is suffering from hypertrophy. A yellow-fronted Amazon parrot from an animal park is having breathing problems. Tac, the duck, was attacked by the neighbour’s dog. The case of Bart the bulldog causes more concern. His various symptoms indicate serious heart disease. His prognosis is a matter of life and death. The episode ends with the arrival of Dana, a dog that has swallowed a foreign body. Will they be able to operate? Find out in the next episode
