William Christie, The art of giving

American, William Christie is one of the great ambassadors of French culture and the French way of “feeling art”, as he likes to say. His career as a harpsichordist, conductor, musicologist and teacher remains closely linked to France. It is at the origin of a remarkable musical adventure: his rediscovery of baroque music. This film seeks to give voice to one man’s unique point of view and to lift the veil on the path of this enormous talent, who is as lucid and charming as he is inaccessible.

Prime season for tracking deer

The Gironde and the Landes offer a diverse range of landscapes. From the vineyards of the Médoc to the immense forests of maritime pines through the coastal hills, rich and varied biotopes are home to a large population of deer. Vincent de Bruyne, a professional fishing guide, shares with us his passion and his personal vision of his profession. Holder of a BTS diploma in aquaculture, another degree in water management and a BPJEPS certification as fishing guide, Vincent has all the qualifications of the perfect guide. His encounter with Laurent Labat will change his life when he becomes a guide at the "Moulin de Sauvage"; both share the same passion and the same ecological and environmental vision of fishing.

The Rioja, Excellence in traditions (Spain)

The Rioja region represents barely 5% of Spanish vineyards. Here, in this tiny wine making territory in the North of Spain about ten vineyard owners have decided to maintain the methods of the past. These winemakers are preserving centuries-old traditions and a local know-how on their small plots. Doing this, they have succeeded in setting themselves apart in the landscape of Iberian wines.

God save Champagne (England)

In recent years, the English hills of Kent and Sussex have become covered with grapevines.  The English have decided to grow champagne grape varieties for the production of a high-end sparkling wine: the English quality sparkling wine. This wine has become a huge success, so much so that the royal family decided to produce its own.  Benefiting from increasingly hot temperatures and a chalky terroir similar to those found in Champagne, it intends to compete with the best French champagnes.  Today, nothing seems to stand in the way of its irresistible rise.

Monuments in Motion - Screws and Stones

Choreographer Alexander Vantournhout directs and challenges the body with Screws and Stones at La Conciergerie de Paris.  The dance performance Screws and Stones refers to the pianist Nils Frahm’s 2011 album. At that time, he had broken several fingers and couldn’t play the piano anymore. He composed some pieces for each finger so he could keep on playing. It inspired Alexander Vantournhout a surrealistic universe where physical items reduce the movement capacity of the performers and influence the choreography. It is an astonishing painting of the body skills.
