From the sky it looks as if a giant pink wave has crashed upon Perros Guirec. Everything, from the Chateau de Costaérès to the lighthouse on the Custom’s  pathway, is a bright marshmallow colour.
The Pink Granite Coast is a marvel of the North of Brittany. It extends over some thirty kilometres fading away at the approach to the Talbert sillon, or bar. The string of dunes that stretches away to the north marking the entrance to the bay of Saint-Brieuc. In the middle of an 800km2 marine area, the Bréhat archipelago blooms like a bouquet of flowers tossed into the sea. On the shore, in the shadow of the highest cliffs in Brittany nestles the port of Plouha bristling with ancient mooring piles, like a forest of trees planted by the roots.
Without its two rivers, which bring colour to its sprawling urbanism, Saint-Brieuc would seem a gloomier place. Moored up to the railway station is an architectural masterpiece: the walkway over the tracks is from another age. Its creator, a civil engineer, built another sixty viaducts to carry the railways of the northern coasts. Those that remain standing attract the attention of the passionate: a touching encounter.
