In the south-west of China, on the border of Tibet, in one of the most inaccessible and most surprising regions of the country, farmers are practicing polyculture and have been growing grapes since the arrival of missionaries, more than one century ago. This terroir has also been attracting foreigners for about ten years. They are investing without counting to produce some of the finest wines of the Middle Kingdom. Their desire coexists with those of farmers, now grouped in cooperatives. A unique wine story is developing here, on the foothills of the Himalayas.
